About the Company

This is an established Australian business operating across wholesale, distribution and import, with a hands-on senior leadership team, genuine complexity in its finance operations, and a clear appetite to strengthen how the function runs. They're at an inflection point: the foundations are there, but the reporting, controls and cashflow visibility need someone to step in and build them properly. This is not a role where you'll be maintaining the status quo. It's a role where you'll be setting it.

About the Role

Broad by design, this Finance Manager position covers the full scope of a finance function, from daily operations through to reporting, forecasting and process improvement. You'll have direct access to senior leadership and a genuine mandate to improve how the business sees and manages its numbers.

Your responsibilities will span:
  • End-to-end AP, AR, bank reconciliations and general ledger ownership
  • Payroll processing, BAS/IAS, superannuation and statutory compliance
  • Cashflow forecasting and working capital management
  • International payments, multi-currency banking and FX accounting
  • Month-end close, management reporting and variance analysis
  • Inventory and landed cost reporting support
  • Process improvement, controls uplift and ERP readiness
About You

You're a hands-on finance operator with 5-7+ years in a Finance Manager, Senior Accountant or Company Accountant role, ideally in a wholesale, distribution, manufacturing or import business. You're technically strong across the full finance process stack, but what really sets you apart is that you take ownership. You don't wait to be told what's broken. You find it, fix it, and build something better.

You'll bring:
  • Solid AP, AR, payroll, reconciliations and GL capability
  • Demonstrated cashflow forecasting and FX management experience
  • Month-end close and management reporting ownership
  • Strong Excel skills and the ability to improve manual processes
  • Experience navigating an SME or inventory-based environment
  • CA/CPA qualified
  • ERP experience — Attaché, MYOB, Xero, NetSuite or similar
What's On Offer
  • Attractive Salary Package + Bonus
  • Full-time, on-site in Dandenong for the first 3 months then hybrid
  • Direct access to senior leadership and genuine decision-making scope
  • A finance function you can genuinely shape, not just maintain
  • A business that values practical operators, not just technically capable ones
