About the Company
My client is an established aged care provider seeking an experienced Head of Finance to support the business through a period of change. Reporting directly to the CEO the focus is on continuity, team stability, and ensuring smooth finance operations through audit and BAU.
About the Role
- Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with accounting standards
- Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis and reporting
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including external audits
- Oversee general ledger functions and maintain robust internal controls.
- Lead and support a finance team of six (including accounts receivable, payroll, and accounting staff based locally and offshore)
- Deliver monthly management reports for meetings with the COO and CEO
- Support the business through audit preparation and execution
- Maintain and enhance existing Excel-based reporting
- Coordinate with offshored accounts payable and payroll functions
- Ensure compliance, financial controls, and systems are maintained
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
- CA/CPA qualified
- Background in aged care or not-for-profit finance leadership preferred
- Practical, people-focused leader with strong interpersonal skills
- Hands-on and operational - this is not a strategic or transformation-focused CFO role
- Strong Excel and reporting capability; familiarity with Epicor and Monday.com is beneficial
- Experience managing small finance teams and working with offshore support
- Available to work full-time from the Bankstown office (onsite parking provided);
