About the Role
The Head of Finance is a key leadership role, responsible for managing the full financial operations of the family office. Reporting directly to the family and working alongside trusted advisors, you will provide strategic financial guidance while ensuring strong governance, accurate reporting, and investment oversight.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Financial management across multiple entities, including board reporting and year-end audit support
- Treasury and cash flow forecasting, including weekly summaries and 12-month projections
- Strategic financial planning aligned with long-term family goals
- Investment oversight, including performance monitoring and due diligence
- Philanthropy support via the family foundation, aligning giving with values
- Risk and insurance management, ensuring full coverage across holdings
- Tax planning and compliance, including BAS, PAYG, SMSFs, and trust structures
- Technology and systems oversight, ensuring data security and reliability
About You
You're a seasoned finance professional with strong technical skills, sound judgement, and a discreet, high-integrity approach. You may come from a family office, professional services, investment, or private business background.
You'll bring:
- CA/CPA qualifications and senior-level financial leadership experience
- Strong working knowledge of tax planning, trusts, and SMSFs
- Experience overseeing investments across multiple asset classes
- Strategic mindset with excellent attention to detail
- A proactive, solutions-oriented approach with strong interpersonal skills
