About The Company

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Manager to step into a critical leadership role within a fast paced, operationally driven environment. This role offers the chance to make an immediate impact across a workforce of approximately 200 - 250 employees.

About The Role

Reporting to a senior leader and working closely with a tight knit executive team, you will take ownership of the full HR function across a predominantly blue collar workforce. This is a hands on role in a dynamic setting where no two days are the same, requiring a proactive and solutions focused approach.

You will lead and support all aspects of human resources, workplace health and safety, and compliance, while partnering closely with senior managers across the business.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, performance management and terminations
  • Acting as the key advisor on workplace relations, employment law and complex employee matters
  • Overseeing compliance with relevant awards, including interpretation and payroll oversight
  • Leading workplace health and safety initiatives and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Managing workers compensation and return to work processes
  • Driving HR policies, processes and continuous improvement
  • Manage grievances, investigations, and conflict resolution
  • Promote a positive and compliant workplace culture
  • Leading and developing a Compliance Officer
  • Oversee payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency
About You

You are an experienced HR professional who thrives in a fast moving, operational environment. You bring a strong grounding in employment law and are confident managing sensitive and complex workplace matters.

You will bring:
  • Proven experience in a standalone or senior HR role within a blue collar or industrial environment
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and award interpretation
  • Demonstrated ability to manage industrial relations and workplace investigations
  • Experience across WHS and workers compensation
  • A hands on, action oriented approach with the ability to adapt quickly
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence at all levels
  • High attention to detail, particularly around compliance and payroll oversight
